Kroger's Private Selection Brand
Are your looking for easy to prepare gourmet food and a decent price to serve for get togethers this holiday season. I found some! I received, several Kroger Private Selection Brand products for this review. Classic Water Crispers, Costa Rican Tarrazu Coffee, Blue Cheese Stuffed Olives, Basil Marinara, Blue Cheese Marbled & White Cheddar Presliced Deli Cheese. I made the marinara first, I cooked up some penne and heated up the sauce. I added the pasta to the marinara when it was finished to let it soak it up. The marinara was a nice light flavor and quite tasty. I would definitely serve it again.
We ate the Classic Water Crispers (crackers), Blue Cheese Stuffed Olives and Blue Cheese Marbled & White Cheddar Cheese as a snack one night. I sliced the cheese to fit the crackers. I also chopped up some the olives and used them more like a dip. If you didn't notice we are blue cheese lovers in this house. The "savory" of the blue cheese goes nicely with the "salty" of the olives. The Water Crispers are nice and crispy and don't have any salt on them. So their flavor wasn't fighting anything we topped them with. All were quite yummy.
I'm not a coffee drinker, but my husband is. We usually buy a well known name brand coffee. I have to tell you, my husband loved this coffee. I asked him if it was better, worse or no difference in flavor. He said it was MUCH better than the brand we buy. I think we will be getting this to help him start his day.
These are delicious products from the Kroger Brand. They are a great example of how you don't have to spend tons of money on brand name products to get quality food.
