Cookies, everyone has a favorite. The most popular must be chocolate chip. Who doesn't like them? We now have a new choice of chocolate chip cookies on shelves, The Truly Awesome Homestyle Chocolate Chip Cookie. These cookies are sold exclusively at Kroger, Fred Meyer and Ralphs stores. I know what your thinking..."store brand products aren't as good as major brand products." That's not the case with these cookies! |
We will start with the first ingredient listed on The Truly Awesome box. Chocolate chips, that's how a cookie should be made. You will have a chocolate chip in every bite of the cookie. There are only eight cookies in a package, but they are twice the size of other packaged cookies. These cookies are free of added preservatives, artificial colors and are made with real butter.
You can pop the cookies in the microwave for a few seconds so they taste like they just came out of the oven. I recommend this, for whatever reason chocolate chips just taste better warm. Another great way to eat them is making ice cream sandwiches with the cookies. They're just the right size! The texture of the cookie is perfect, some cookies are so dense you think you are going to break a tooth biting into them. The best I can come up with to describe the texure is 'flaky but still crunchy'. The "Truly Awesome" cookies live up to their name and I liked them better than most of the major brands I've tried.
